Pinocchio 3 is a video performance that begins with a photograph I took eighteen years ago. Years later, I returned to the photograph and approached it as a space for a new performance. In this return, the relationship between the photographer and the photograph shifts: I, who was behind the camera when the photograph was taken, now enter the image I had made. This shift shapes the form of the work; movements and elements from the original situation are brought back into performance, while the photograph, as the result of a gaze from the past, becomes a space for a new performance through my presence in the present. In this way, what was formed between the photographer and the image eighteen years ago is brought into the present and, through this encounter, a new situation takes shape.
